Lots of people only play MCI during double cookies. The server becomes unpopulated, nobody uses boosts, and it's just not fun to play.
What if double cookies was permanent? The servers would be full constantly, and nobody would have to wait until the weekend to get some ranks in. The only downside to this is that it will be a little more difficult to bring in a lot of players at one time, but this can easily be done through another Play-a-thon or similar event.
